The Pc Know-how (CT) program has been developed to offer coaching within the principles underlying the design of modern computer systems. The TX-zero (Transistor eXperimental – zero”) is the first basic-purpose programmable pc built with transistors. For easy replacement, designers positioned each transistor circuit inside a “bottle,” just like a vacuum tube. Constructed at MIT´s Lincoln Laboratory, the TX-zero moved to the MIT Analysis Laboratory of Electronics, where it hosted some early imaginative assessments of programming, together with writing a Western film shown on television, 3-D tic-tac-toe, and a maze wherein a mouse found martinis and became more and more inebriated.
